AREA MAP

Each repeater transmitter is located in one of the 114 counties in the state.  The counties are grouped in eight areas as shown in the attached map.   The grouping assists travelers in locating repeaters in an area they are going to visit.  Various electronic trip planners use these area designations to return a list of repeaters along a selected route.  The MRC also uses a limited number of sub-areas to further group repeaters serving a given area.  Examples are Kansas City and St. Louis Metro areas which may include selected repeaters from adjacent states.
